NOTE: Divisions are solely based upon the year that you were
born, not as of the date of the tournament, or any other
criteria.
Example
1: A wrestler born on March 26th, 1999 would wrestle
in the Midget division even though his birthday is after
the tournament. The age divisions are based on your
Year of Birth not your Age as of the Tournament. This
wrestler would not qualify to wrestle in the Bantam
division.
Example
2: A wrestler born on March 26th, 1993 and who wrestled
on the varsity team would wrestle in the Cadet division.
The same wrestler has the option to wrestle in the Cadet OR High School division OR Both.
Example
3: A wrestler in his Senior year in High School, who
is planning on competing in College the next year is
allowed to compete in this tournament in the High School
division.
NOTE: The weight class that you register for is the most you can weigh at weigh ins. The weight class that you register at is the weight class that you will wrestle at.
Example
1: A wrestler who registers in the Junior 110 lb weight class must weigh no more than 110 lbs at weigh ins. If they weight 111 lbs. the wrestler will not be moved up to the Junior 135lb weight class. They will need to make the 110 lb weight or they will not be allowed to wrestle.
Example
2: A wrestler who registers for the Junior 110 lb weight class and weighs 99 lbs at weigh-ins will wrestle at 110 lb. We will not move that wrestler to the 100 lb weight class. |
